We planned our trip from Australia over the internet. It was
for 10 people with varying dietary needs and physical abilities. Ms Candy was
fantastic, responding to my emails promptly and leaving us in no doubt as to
how much each leg of the journey would cost and what would be provided. The
hotels were clean, spacious and comfortable and of the Vietnamese culture as we
wanted them to be. The guides were knowledgeable and caring both in Sapa and
Halong Bay. The boat provided for our accommodation on Halong Bay was luxurious
and the food was stunning. The decoration of the salads and "flowers"
made out of carrots and potatoes were really something. We were taken on a
fabulous tour of Halong Bay and because we stayed a bit longer than most and
also stayed on Cat Ba Island for 2 nights, we saw quite a bit more than the
usual tourist spots. Fabulous, relaxing and at a good price. All 10 of us were
agreed that you couldn't go past Active Travel Asia for organizing a tour
within Vietnam.
